I very much enjoy teaching chess privately both to individuals and groups of children and adults.
I have extensive chess teaching experience which is informed both by my music teaching and my own chess playing experiences.

* pupils have played for county chess teams & reached Terafinal Challengers of UK Chess Challenge
* English Chess Federation (ECF) Accredited Chess Coach
* ECF Regional Chess Master title
* current ECF chess grade 186
* highest ECF chess grade 192
* presently represent Devon at chess on a top board of county first team
* ex-chess coach: York Junior Chess Club; Awliscombe, Drakes, Honiton, St Peters' & Woodbury Salterton Primary Schools.

FEES:
* £14 per half hour. Pay as you go.
From 6 April 2012: Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice
will be charged at the full rate and will be added onto and payable at
the next lesson. There will be no exceptions.
